Japanese Painting Course
The purpose of this course is for gaining knowledge of skills and materials on Japanese painting such as the usage of glue, gold leaf, mineral pigments, paper and silk. Students study different ways of expression using traditional methods of Japanese painting as well as developing their own free and unique perception.
In the master program, students expand their original creative abilities. Instructors provide foreign students with more elaborated background concerning Japanese painting and hone their skills for artistic expression. Doctoral students aim to elevate their creativity to a higher level and to write a thesis. Researching the history of Japanese painting and developing each individual's original presentation are required.

Oil Painting Course
This course focuses on oil painting, drawings, copper-plate printing, fresco painting, painting methods and materials, and equally painting theories such as art anatomy, art history and composition. The goal of the oil painting course is to encourage each talent to become an artist in a variety of art fields. During the master program, students paint in diverse ways of expression with better skills in the field of oil painting. Doctoral students have to enhance their performance and knowledge at each stage, and write theses concerning their creativity from his or her historical and theoretical viewpoints.

Sculpture Course
Course participants develop their expression by learning a variety of sculptural methods and the selection of materials including clay, plastic, plaster, stone and wood. There are wide student themes ranging from human figures to architectural compositions and beyond the sculpture field.
In the master program, there are two divisions, Sculpture and Environmental Sculpture. During the program, students are provided with much free creative space and atmosphere. Doctoral students are expected to accomplish a higher standard of works, while drawing up their theses through learning sculpture history and theory.

Aesthetics and Art History Course
The aim of this course is to study a range of ancient through modern global art history and aesthetics, while at the same time practicing actual studio works including paintings, sculptures and crafts. Learning diverse practical information supports students' thesis writing.
During the master's program, besides supplementing actual analysis of materials and art techniques, students focus on their researching themes that are studied according to the following subjects : aesthetics, craft history, and Japanese, Asian and Western art histories. The goal for students enrolled in the doctoral course is the completion of a dissertation based on the students' individual specialized interests.
