Research Institute of Art & Design
At the Research Institute of Art & Design, we carry out projects related to interdisciplinary art and craft research within and outside the College, the succession and training of crafts, advice and collaboration toward local cultural development, and the collection, preservation, scientific research, exhibition and education of art and craft documents.
Research Institute of Art & Design Gallery
In April 2017, the Research Institute of Art & Design Gallery was opened as an exhibition facility with access for the general public. The gallery comprises an exhibition corner for the College’s collection, and an exhibition/reading corner called “Hyakko Hisho in the Heisei Era” - a national collection of craft-related documents. The College’s collection is introduced from various aspects via a number of exhibitions throughout the year.
